Effect of Logistics Performance Index on Human Development Index: An Application to Logistics Sector

Human Development Index (HDI) has been subject to a lot of criticism over time, with the idea that it does not fully reflect human development, and complemented different indicators in various studies. Despite its importance, especially considering requirements era, logistics considered HDI and, although there are many synthetic indices combine methods (i.e. DEA, MCDM etc.) HDI, these far from reaching logical results. Logistics is fundamental activity meeting all needs, therefore should be as measure countries' development. Therefore, this study offers revision special consideration performances countries. It observed infrastructure timeliness sub-indicators Performance (LPI) have significant effect on HDI. Using United Nations' calculation method statistically indicators, Logistics-HDI (L-HDI) developed proposed new index. This argues L-HDI reflects development countries more appropriately. The will also offer better benchmarking than other scientifical field.
